Strength
- Highly qualified international and national faculty.
- The only institute offering Art and Design and Media Studies and Mass Communication in the region.
- Links with different foreign universities.
- Many societies of literacy, dramatic, scientific, software and photographic activities.
- Opportunities for research and development.
- Highly cooperative and motivated faculty and staff.
- PEC/NCEAC/MBAC and HEC recognized university and degree awarding university.
- All classrooms are fully equipped with multimedia, audio and video teaching aid.
- High-tech electronic, scientific and computer labs of all departments.
- Well-furnished Library with free access to digital library.
- Many scholarship programs for students.
- Two operational campus (Peshawar and Swat) and one under construction (Mardan).
Weakness
- Lack of campus in any foreign country.
- International ranking in terms of QEC.
- Hostels are not enough for all students.
- Underfunding in many departments and programs.
- Lack of funding from HEC being a private sector university.
Opportunities
- Continuing education for intellectual enrichment and for people of all ages.
- Opportunity to build an undergraduate experience using the best practices from throughout the country.
- More conversations and partnerships with local employers- those in the private, nonprofit and public sectors so that our students are more appealing to them.
- Providing free training programs under the umbrella of NAVTCC and UNHCR for deprived/students of marginalized society since 2020.

Threats
- New local private institutions are also offering graduate programs.
- Development of new government university in this region, opening of Mardan Campus.
- Risk of losing prominent faculty for genuinely better opportunities at other universities.
- Growing competition from nearby private universities.
