UNIVERSITY RULES & REGULATIONS

Academic Integrity:

All students are expected to maintain academic integrity and uphold the university’s honor code. This includes not plagiarizing, cheating, or engaging in any form of academic dishonesty.

Attendance:

Students are expected to attend all classes and participate in all required activities. 75% attendance in a course is mandatory for appearance in examinations. Excessive absences may result in academic penalties.

Class Conduct:

Students are expected to behave appropriately in class, respect their peers and instructors, and avoid any disruptive behaviour.

Dress Code:

Students are expected to dress appropriately for their classes and campus activities. This may vary by program or activity, and specific dress codes may be communicated by the administration or the faculty. However, the students are expected to observe proper (socially & culturally accepted) dress code while at university premises.

Alcohol and Drugs:

The use, possession, or distribution of alcohol and drugs is strictly prohibited at the campus. Anyone violating the policy will be reported to the Anti-Drug & Tobacco Committee and local law enforcement authority.

Smoking:

Smoking is prohibited in all university buildings and within 25 feet of any entrance or exit.

Conduct:

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the university’s values and mission. This includes avoiding any behavior that could harm others or damage university property.

Disciplinary Action:

Students who violate university policies may be subject to disciplinary action, which may include warnings, penalty, suspension, or expulsion.

Communication:

Students are expected to communicate effectively with their instructors, advisors, and peers, and to seek help when needed. This includes attending office hours, asking questions in class, and seeking academic support services.

Technology:

Students are expected to use technology responsibly and avoid any misuse, such as hacking, piracy, or cyberbullying.

Safety:

Students are expected to prioritize their safety and the safety of others, and to report any safety concerns to university officials.

Accessibility:

Students with disabilities are encouraged to register with the university’s special accessibility committee for guidance.

Campus Resources:

Students are encouraged to utilize the university’s resources, such as academic advising, career services, and student health services, to support their academic and personal success.

Community:

Students are expected to contribute to the university community by participating in campus activities, volunteering, and supporting their peers.

Amendments:

The university reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations as necessary to maintain the integrity and safety of the campus community. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with any updates or changes to these policies.
